Definitely. Good leaders take their cues from within the organization. They see something that they want to see more of - in this case, innovative teaching that will motivate learners - they fan it, like a fire, and then they continue to create conditions for it to grow. It sounds like you are working with some great leaders in your system!</description>

		<description>Hello, my name is Matthew and I am responding to this blog that you posted about the benifits of technology in Education.

I truely believe that technology in education can really help many of the skills that children need to further themselves in life.  Ed-Tech helps improve test scores because the students are more attentive in and outside of the classroom because of using technology.

I have a question though...is there any research that refutes this information?  I feel as though that if we fall too far into Ed-tech, that we will lose some of our other programs in the struggle (like band, choir, theatre, gym, etc.)  Technology is not really a big thing right now in disciplines were the need to express oneself is very prominent.  What would happen to programs like these if we were completely overrun by technology in the education feild.  

Sometimes I feel as though that the overuse of ed-tech would completly wipe out these more kinesthetic programs because the teacher doesn't need to be as present as usual.  But...overall, ed-tech has helped to improve other areas of learning as well in the process.  It's kind of a double-edged sword in my opinion.

             Well I guess I should have read your blog and visited the class
projects you have been doing.  It sounds like it is working and students
are responding.  I am curious of the per cent of students who do well with this home work theory. Would you let me know.  I do have some fifth graders who always complain about the materials their parents have to go out and by on a short notive to complete home work assignments and then what ever material that is remaining is wasted and discarded.  That seems to be an issue.  I like the e-mail computer link idea to send the teacher the finished work. I myself am always looking for more ways to help my after school program students when they come in to do their home work and projects.
